Method: Two of our favorite routes to get to the lake were traveled and logged in daily commute. Comparisons were then made in time and distance.
Results: The two routes were similar in time required, however, one was nearly two miles different.
This was a very simple experiment, but very easily produced usable data that is helpful. When presented with two options requiring the same drive time, it makes the most sense to opt for the one with less mileage (even if it is only two miles!). See images below:
